You still have one more chance to share the love tomorrow beginning at 11 a.m. We are having a full service taco bar for the teachers from 11 a.m. til 1 p.m. You can come by any time during that time to help serve. We will be having hard/soft shell tacos, rice and beans and all the trimmings…so come ready to serve.

Here is what is happening in the next several weeks here at Fellowship Church:

1. Saturday, May 19th at 6 p.m., we are having a church wide, bring your own picnic get together. Bring something for your family to eat, bring chairs or blankets and get ready for a time of fun and fellowship with each other. We will be playing volleyball, horseshoes, and whatever else we can find to get into.

2. Saturday, May 19th, Arise Student Ministry will be riding in the Mtn Laurel Parade. They are in need of candy donations to toss to the crowds. If you can bring any wrapped candy (preferably not chocolate due to the heat) to help, you can drop them off on Sunday morning or any time next week to the office.

3. We will be holding baptism on Sunday, June 17th. If you need to take the next step, please email Stan.

4. Fellowship Softball Team is inviting everyone out to watch them on Tuesday, June 12th at 7 p.m. After the softball game, we will be heading to Copper Pot to enjoy half-off pizza and celebrate a “win”. We hope everyone can come out and enjoy this great time.

Evangelism Class has been scheduled for tomorrow night here at the church beginning at 6 p.m. If you missed the announcement on Sunday, this class is designed to give you the tools and resources necessary to share your faith with others.

Here we are, the week before Easter.  Spring break begins this afternoon and I am sure many of you will be hitting the roads today or tomorrow.  Please know that we are praying for you this week.  Be safe, have fun and we will see you on Easter Sunday!  

It is not too late to begin investing and inviting…you have a week peeps!  Craig has a great message lined up about Hope…how many of us feel hopeless in today’s economy?  Mickey and the worship team and the creative team have made some changes to a few things and let me tell you, I am excited about it!  The only hope we have today is the hope of Jesus Christ.

Many thanks to everyone who stayed last Sunday to help with spring cleaning…KidVille looks great and the cleaning that was done will help me today as I finish up the cleaning (Remember, if you want to sign up to help clean, just email me and let me know. I will make a cleaning schedule next week).  

We have some great opportunities coming up in the next several weeks:   

1.  1st Quarter Contribution Statements will be going out in the next couple of weeks.  

2.  Compassion Sunday is April 22nd.  Please be in prayer for what your role in this will be.  Sponsoring a child is a great honor.  It is $38 a month.  Think about sponsoring a child as a family, as a small group, or with some co-workers.  You will be blessed.

3.  A-B-C (A Baldwin Cleaning Day) will be April 21st (with rain date of April 28th).  We are once again sponsoring this with the City of Baldwin.  This event will be held here, with trash pick up along the sides of the roads, small service projects and just loving on our community.  

4.  Baldwin Elementary Teacher Appreciation Week will be May 7th-11th.  We have some great activities planned for the teachers this week; but, we need your help.  Will you consider taking off one day this week to help us love on some teachers.  The blessings you receive cannot be put into words.

Pre-packaged items are $29.99 or you can bring hard candies (jolly ranchers, lifesavers, mints) and granola bars to be included in the packages.  We are in need of hard candies and granola bars to finish the packages we already have purchased to be able to send out.

2. Easter is right around the corner, begin investing in people around you (family and friends) who are not currently attending church so you can invite them with you on Easter morning. Easter is April 8th. Invest and Invite and Invest!

3.  Compassion Sunday is coming up April 22nd.  We will be receiving child information packets in the upcoming weeks.  Please be in prayer regarding your role (whether it is adopting a child as a family or as a small group).

4.  If you are interested in playing softball, please see Buddy Lovell on Sunday.  The cost is $40.

5. We are getting ready for Easter here at Fellowship Church. With the arrival of spring, we are doing some spring cleaning in preparation of the guests we will be having on Easter Sunday. A work/clean up day has been scheduled for Sunday, March 25th immediately following church services. We will provide the food…all we need is you to help paint, clean, and anything else!

Last week, we discussed what it truly means to worship. How it is not just music or a service you attend or a feeling you attain, but the lifestyle of worship, the action (verb) of worship, and the surrender of worship. How have you worshipped this week? We know that God is the only thing of real value worth worshipping and anything else that takes God’s place in your life is an idol and robs God of worship! Craig read out of Romans 12:1 which says we should take our everyday, ordinary life and place it before God as an offering. We should praise God while we are sleeping, eating, working, driving, everything we do should be of praise to God.

When you surrender your entire life (from all our possessions to the food on our table) we can truly express worship in that everything we own isn’t even ours but God’s. As Craig said Sunday, Paul encouraged believers to place themselves as living offerings. Like the woman at the well, we all need to learn a few things about worship: It’s not about your background, it’s not about the where, It’s who you are, it’s the way you live in Christ, It is spirit, it is truth, Being yourself before God.

Craig also outlined what worship for Fellowship is…a time to let go and honor God, a time to allow God to change your life through the Spirit’s prompting, a time of reflection on God’s blessing in your life. It should be like a party: LOUD, Proud, Fun, Can’t wait to get to it, Inviting others to enjoy it. Read Revelation 7:9-12.
