Hi folks,
Have you ever went to a place that required someone to assist you and found the experience to be less than desired? You are thinking of those place now because you will not shop or go there. Now think about the places that you do go, the folks that help you probably know your name (CHEERS), your favorite food or special ingedients for that great cup of coffee.
Ever been invited to a party that where you were made you feel unwanted? You were treated like the partry crasher.
But how about when you were invited and found yourself to be the special guest. Now we are having fun!
Your guest service team has been reading and working on ways to create a new VIP Experience for First Time Attendees. We will be trying some new things in the weeks to come and ask you join us by doing some simple things.
1. Allow guest to park in the VIP Parking area.
2. Move to the center of the row, leave the aisle seats open.
3. Greet people all around.
4. Invite your friends to join you in making first timers feel special.
When First Timers show up they will think, “Wow! These folks were expexting me and were happy to see me.
Plan now to join in the Fellowship church VIP Experience!

The Devotion of Hearing

Samuel answered, ’Speak, for Your servant hears’ —1 Samuel 3:10

Just because I have listened carefully and intently to one thing from God does not mean that I will listen to everything He says. I show God my lack of love and respect for Him by the insensitivity of my heart and mind toward what He says. If I love my friend, I will instinctively understand what he wants. And Jesus said, “You are My friends . . .” (John 15:14). Have I disobeyed some command of my Lord’s this week? If I had realized that it was a command of Jesus, I would not have deliberately disobeyed it. But most of us show incredible disrespect to God because we don’t even hear Him. He might as well never have spoken to us.

The goal of my spiritual life is such close identification with Jesus Christ that I will always hear God and know that God always hears me (see John 11:41). If I am united with Jesus Christ, I hear God all the time through the devotion of hearing. A flower, a tree, or a servant of God may convey God’s message to me. What hinders me from hearing is my attention to other things. It is not that I don’t want to hear God, but I am not devoted in the right areas of my life. I am devoted to things and even to service and my own convictions. God may say whatever He wants, but I just don’t hear Him. The attitude of a child of God should always be, “Speak, for Your servant hears.” If I have not developed and nurtured this devotion of hearing, I can only hear God’s voice at certain times. At other times I become deaf to Him because my attention is to other things— things which I think I must do. This is not living the life of a child of God. Have you heard God’s voice today?

A word about Oswald:

Oswald Chambers was not famous during his lifetime. At the time of his death in 1917 at the age of forty-three, only three books bearing his name had been published. Among a relatively small circle of Christians in Britain and the U.S., Chambers was much appreciated as a teacher of rare insight and expression, but he was not widely known. His devotion and books are now highly regarded.

His devotion is online at http://utmost.org/

Well what can we tell you about the power of prayer….nothing more than it is awesome and works when you have faith in God’s word….“you can ask for anything…and I will give it to you”… as we all must remember prayer is not “instantly answered” but could take some time and it may not be answered the way we are expecting…. well yesterday, Saturday, 28 JAN 2012…Matthew,Sue,mine and many others prayers were finally answered…and not in the way we thought it would happen either….for over 2 and half years many have prayed that Matthew(while still in prison) would get to see his son Kasen…last time he saw Kasen, he was approximately 18 months old….all through the troubled times Matthew, his family, and friends (and some who did not even know any of us) continued to pray that God would allow, cause, and enable Matt to see his son…the day finally came…there was much joy on everyone’s part and as one might expect much anticipation as to how Kasen would react to it all….again God quelled our concerns and questions….without hesitation, Kasen went to his Dad,jumped up in his arms, hugged and kissed Matt…you cannot imagine the look of surprise on Matt’s face (or ours)…but all that was replaced by pure joy…the interaction between Father and Son will be one of the highlights of our lives…we could not stop praising and thanking God for the tremendous 4 hours we spent together….we all were overwhelmed by God’s grace and the blessing he gave us yesterday….yes the power of prayer was evident yesterday, but more importantly God’s Love (for us all) was even more evident when Kasen hugged Matt’s neck, kissed him and told him “ I Love You Daddy”…. we wanted him and Matt to have a true(honest) experience with each other…we had all decided earlier to leave it up to Kasen how things played out…..none of us could have dreamed it was going to be such a wonderful encounter…Yesterday was proof that God’s Word is the Truth…and that Faith in His Word (no matter how long it takes) will be rewarded….

We continue to pray for Matthew’s release in the near future so that he can enjoy more days with Kasen in a less restricted environement…we ask everyone to pray along with us….Keep the Faith and Stay Strong….Benny Lee and Sue

Usually around Thanksgiving and at the Year’s end I tend to look back at the previous year. The aid of TV, Newspapers, magazines and the Internet there is wealth of things to look back on the following year. Just today MSN had a poll on which stories were the most popular. http://news.ca.msn.com/money/killing-of-bin-laden-voted-top-news-story
What will be the most popular story of 2012? The end of the world, Yes those folks are back again. They might be right this time. Or will it be…Oh well that’s not what started this thought. This verse started me to think, “[(By David.)][The LORD's Wonderful Love]With all my heart I praise the LORD, and with all that I am I praise his holy name! With all my heart I praise the LORD! I will never forget how kind he has been.” Psalm 103:1-2 CEV
His kindness goes beyond all measure. I fail daily, hourly, well a lot. I go to the throne and ask forgiveness for my sins. Repentance is a key part in having a proper relationship with God. I am thankful His grace never runs out.
